PEA Surveys

A Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA) is the first stage in any site assessment. It has three main elements: an ecological desk study; a habitat survey or phase 1 survey; and a written assessment.

Net gain surveys

The new Environment Bill will make it a requirement for all developments to include 10% biodiversity net gain.

There are some exceptions but it remains to be seen how they will be applied.

species surveys

Protected species surveys are usually required to satisfy the local planning authority that your proposal will not have an adverse effect on European Protected Species.
